Let's Go wasn't great, but at least it was an interesting spin on the game. I took one look at BDSP and thought, "I still have Platinum, so I have no reason to play this."

That said, I wouldn't buy either of them at this point. I only get Let's Go Pikachu because it was the only Pokemon game on Switch and I was in the mood for one.

This is word-for-word my thoughts, down to the reason why I bought Let's Go Pikachu. The only addition is that I completely skipped the 3DS + Wii U era, so I hadn't played a new Pokemon game in that time and was really in the mood for one.

If ILCA = BDSP-style graphics, then Let's GO easily. It's all about graphics for me - getting a HGSS-based BDSP it just redundant. It's like getting no remake at all, while LG always brings something new to the table.

But if ILCA makes a game with at least Let's GO-tier graphics, then I'm fully okay with them being in charge.

Give me Let's Go 2 Jotho and have it behave as a direct sequel, no timeskips like in bw2, they could add extra story tidbits like LGEevee's story being about the choice of whcih Eeveelution you're getting while the Pikachu version is about the Egg you get at the start of the game having more attention than Pikachu. So the themes would be about choice.
And then just implement proper co-op gameplay by turning Jotho into some open world stuff (considering the fact you have all the HM moves from LGPE already, there's the excuse to pretend shit's open).

Considering that it would be a Jotho retelling, i would obviously want exclude the Kanto region beyond being an actual post-game rather than a mandatory second quest. I mean just thinking about a Jotho re-telling but it has HGSS' events built into it by default is already pretty good. Spiky Eared Pichu could finally have a major focus

Personally, I prefer the rhythm game. It also makes using that 1 move you've got more interesting. DPPt Super Contests were a fucking mess.
