You should name it "ALAKAZAM" in all caps, that way when you transfer if up, it'll have all caps as the name, and none of your other Pokemon will.

It is tedious but you just keep smashing A and eventually the 300 coins wins add up really fast. It's not much different from shiny hunting. I feel I have a good sense of when to smash A fast or slow. While I have no evidence I think it's like a traditional slot machine and it just pays out eventually. If it's easier you can just farm money and buy the coins.
