if you're already playing gen9 then no. SWSH were basically the cliffnotes versions of USUM storywise and anything new brought to the table was improved with SV

An okay game. If you tolerated XY and SM this is just more of the same outside of the dexcut, which you probably wouldn't notice in a regular playthrough anyway.

I did this too. finally played through the games and they're all pretty shit just like I knew after playing x and y and dropping it for a decade. Still fucking hate x and y. it's so fucking bad I want to beat the shit out of the subhumans that made it with an aluminum baseball bat while they're chained up.

I got the version with the dlc already on it for christmas. For a playthrough it was average. Its a little better since you can explore the dlc areas if you have that but otherwise pretty meh.

i'm afraid gen 8 will remind you of gen 6, that was my really strong first impression of it, although later i found a lot more to appreciate than i ever did in gen 6. i'd recommend gen 7 instead, it has a stronger focus on story and character writing like gen 9.

Not worth playing, feels like a beta prototype and even SV is a better game. The story is also the shortest of all mainline games, you can beat it in like 10 hours because the region is small aside from the Wild Aera, you will steamroll all the gyms and forget about this piece of shit very fast.

I bought it to get Jirachi in (a borrowed copy of) BDSP and Shaymin in PLA, with the intention of returning it but I gave it a try ofc because why not.

I left it at the Wild Area introduction. There's just no point in playing the beta version of a much better game aka SV and the classic, route-based portion of the game isnt worth it on its own when Sun and Moon does it much better.
