I’d argue species clause just needs to be turned off for regional variants though. No other permanent forms, just regional variants.
Also as a side note, Walking Wake is a poor comparison in this image since it’s the most different looking out of all of these in terms of shape and basis. It’s just the common colouring that makes it less obvious at a first glance.
