most of the grey area seems to be ashen ruins of a burnt down forest. i think the small area above it is the ice area
its weird because california has snowy mountains with ski resorts, so there's no need to section off the ice area to such a small area. the state is a place that fits pokemon's wacky biome packing

is that lone mountain supposed to be Mt Shasta or Lassen? With all the supposed paranormal shit Shasta would be a cool spot for a legendary or psychic/ghost types. Actually a sick region, despite the cringe that comes out of LA/San Francisco, California's geography/ecology is pretty sick

Washington is def not there, I don't think Oregon is either, since the tree at the top is probably Redwood NP in California and the mountain on the top is probably Mount Shasta, MAYBE it's Crater Lake in OR but I doubt it. Nevada definitely is in it though

There are 9 UCs, and some of them are really close to each other physically (Irvine/Riverside). Plus it means no gym in Las Vegas or the top third of the state. I know no one lives there IRL but that's never stopped Pokemon before lol

The Bay should be bigger.
SF should not take up all of the western part of the bay.
It should at least be some kind of high tech area in the southern part.
The gym on the east bay should be dark type.
