>>55223289>Why is she an orange anyway. It ties into the lore or Paldea. Ogerpon and her late friend came from a far away land with crystals that were used to make their masks, the crystals being from Paldea since they allow the use of Terastilization, which would also imply that they came from Paldea. Oranges as we know them have a long history with Spain and Portugal, which is what inspired Paldea. Hell, it's even used as the name for the academy in Scarlet
>What connection do peaches and oranges have.No clue. Maybe it has something to do with their ability to keep? Oranges are filled with Vitamin C, and thus don't spoil as readily. They're sweet, but also a bit bitter, which leads some people to not liking them. Peaches, in contrast, are very sweet and generally well liked by most people, but spoil much more quickly. Perhaps this is a sort of microcosm of how Ogerpon and Pecharunt are represented in the story:
Ogerpon is a little sweetheart that people largely shunned for no good reason, but whom remains cute and mostly non-violent towards the villagers regardless despite losing her only friend and living alone in a dark cave, whereas Pecharunt is a petulant, spiteful little shit that people indirectly praised as a hero by mistake, and whom is still more than willing to cause more chaos simply to amuse itself when it isn't busy sitting around in the village on a comfy pillow
