>>55221713>Theres nothing wrong with the movesTMs save most pokemon (as intended) but his suggestions seem to be mostly giving STAB moves to any mon you might want to use, like twineedle to pinsir/scyther, making some moves not complete shit (like fury swipes), and "correcting" moves that were later changed anyways like karate chop/gust -> fighting/flying. I can appreciate that because while I enjoy gen 1 to this day I don't think I've used something like a pinsir on my team because I know I'll just be using normal moves on it, which is perfectly doable, but also not very interesting for a mid/lategame bug. Reasonably you should be able to catch a strong bug and expect it can hit psychic types with something super effectively in the same way you'd train a fire type and expect it'd have one or two fire moves and not just stomp and fury attack, even if that means using a TM.
Imo he is too autistic about making everything even and balanced, for example he changes dig to 70BP because it's "too strong" for that point in the game. Most of the fun in gen 1 comes with getting powerful moves early like dig/thunderbolt/ice beam/body slam.
