>>55225535I enjoyed it but the lack of Battle Tower was felt but overall a step up from SwSh, Tera Raids>Max Raids even if they are a pain to do online due the clusterfuck of how moves are resolved when every player rushes.
I'd say its biggest "benefit" was that it went all in on the GAS with the Raid events drip feeding "Content" and i think it will probably not age that well as a result, especially if the nest games refine (But with gamefreak that is a toss up), but i still think both SwSh and PLA has certain things over it, like i said SwSh (And BDSP i guess) still has the Battle Tower and replaying PLA this week while still playing SV made me realize that it had much less graphical issues and i think once actually think i prefer the overworld controls/handing there, SV is noticably "stiffer" coming directly from a PLA session, though i guess that makes sense.
The Open World is kinda Eh, if im being honest i appreciate the effort but i also think they were a bit too subtle in the "hints" about levels for a lot of first time players going by threads when it released (Though they are there if you read the descriptions of the map icons stating something as "good for starters","Middling" or "Powerful").
But im digressing, point is it was enjoyable, could done some things better and i hope the next games take the positive aspects from both it and PLA, though honestly the fact the game feels like it is made out of gum and paperclips at times really make me worried.
>>55226336I replayed SwSh and SV several times both though. I found that SwSh is pretty fun to do challenges in (Even if DA PLOT is a pain) and the Switch games have the benefit that we actually have multiple savefiles, their issue is honestly more with Nuzlockes and the like, PLA is the one that has more of a issue with replay value in my experience because of how it is focused on the Dex, Catching and the Dex Tasks
even though i liked it the best.
