The story feels more incomplete than rushed, the last half of TID and the epilogue introduces terapagos, the professor's book and pecharunt but so far nothing is done with them except being item and pokedex slots.
There are interaction to be had with terapagos powers, like talking with Ogerpon's previous trainer or Heath. Figuring out the link between pecharunt and the crystals.
Whetehr you believe in time or imagination theory, there is still some things to resolve, in case of time, the time loop isn't resolved yet, as the book we received frm the professor in the lake is the same one used to unlock the time travel machine. And finally why does Briar has the same scarlet and violet outfit in the same version.
Parralel dimensions, and different timelines being reflected by terapagos shell/crystal seems lik the endgame to me desu.
