Scovillian looks unfinished and like a mid table evo. Basically the reason everyone hated the johto dex.
I don’t have any problem with Baxcalaibur so jokes on you.
My problem with H. typhlosion has nothing to with its design, my problem is rather give the original Typhlosion anything to keep with with powercrept like the constantly buffs every other early Fire starter got, they effectively replace it, except apparently so afraid of this form being better than CHARIZARD they give it Frisk in an open meta and on top of all that, if you go by the theory the legend starters only got regionals because they originals were such garbage that they don’t deserve to be shilled (which would explain why Typhlosion was blacklisted for all these years) why the fuck havent they used the Hisuian Typhlosion for anything.

The only one of these three I'm actually neutral on, but if I had to say anything against it, it'd be that it has a terrible shiny, and that it apparently is the only pseudo-legendary whose catch rate is not the same across its evolutionary family.
>H-Typhlosion
Would rather run Will-o-Wisp and Hex over its signature move, and has one of the worst abilities in the franchise for its hidden ability. It also no longer has access to Burn Up, but that's more of a general gripe rather than one specific to Typhlosion due to other Pokémon being able to learn that move.

Unfortunate on Scovillian I really thought it would see more use on sun teams which i suppose it does in lower tiers 75 is a great speed tier when you double your speed and being the only fire type to get chlorophyll should have been a great boon.

Design wise it is defiantly underwhelming as just a pepper pokemon and if you look at it's (maybe) influences of theater masks it fails in that department as the pokedex entries say both heads are just rampaging assholes not like one is happy/sad/mad. Im willing to put money on Scovillain getting an evolution at some point in the future.

Baxcalibur on paper I should love but theres just something off maybe it's the lack of small spines along it's back.

Monk Typhosion is fine but competitively suffers from gen 2 stats a bad hidden ability and nothing it offers that the other crazy fire/ghost types dont do better

H.Typhlosion is a special attacker so that the only ones it’s can really be compared to are Chandelure and Blascephalon. The later is an Ultra beast so it being better than Typhlosion is expected and surprisingly H,Typhlosion is higher tier than Chandelure, higher speed, Eruption amd Infernal Parade are apparently enough to give it a niche.
However the fact it got Frisk instead of something like Serene Grace that would actually synergize with itt Signature move validates the theory that Game Freak is sabotaging Typhlosion and actively don’t want it to be popular (especially when you compare how broken the other toe legend starts abilities are)

Baxcalibur and Scovillain are literally in my top 5 favorite designs this gen, with Baxcalibur being my new favorite ice type in the whole series.

Feels good to actually have taste instead of being a zoomer who thinks overdesigned edgy garbage like Haxorus is the pinnacle of design I guess.

Obviously you're not going to be fighting abomasnows often, but it's a good punching bag for numbers and also the first thing on the calc. It seems like a pretty intentional balancing of Eruption, if nothing else. Dropping 5 speed rarely matters, and Hisuian Typhlosion commonly sees use with a scarf set anyway, and it's doing pretty solid on niche sun teams and in RU.
