ORAS has multiple lines of dialogue which implies the original RS is still the original, this is an alternate universe version of RS. This was further confirmed in USUM when in the Rainbow Rocket postgame, they brought the RS versions of Archie and Maxie and not their ORAS redesigns, which was a conscious decision. Basically every remake is an alternate universe, even the mainline games are since some have gimmicks, some don't. This is why the multiverse bs is confusing and I just assume that unless stated otherwise, each game is a standalone experience.
