>most of my life I drank cheap black teaYeah that was me growing up as well, im still not all that knowledgeable but i have made efforts to learn about different types of tea and how to prepare them as an adult. I do have some loose leaf stuff and eventually i would like to create my own mixes but for now i mostly stick to bags so im not that fancy.
Cherry tea is one of the best fruit ones imo up there with peach and orange. Cherry especially goes well with a splash of vanilla coffee creamer if you want a basic way to make it more of a sweat treat.
I actually have been putting more effort into learning coffee as i drink that much more often, and some of that does translate over to tea.
One of the fun things to do that has uses in coffee, tea and cocktails is creating homemade syrups, its super easy and its a fun way to try out flavour mixing.
A basic simple syrup recipe is 2 parts sugar to 1 part water, so if you boil 250ml of water and then add in 500g of sugar and then stir it until it fully combines, not just once the sugar is dissolved but once it starts becoming thick and goopy. That is a super easy way to sweeten your drinks and if you add stuff to the water while it boils you can make flavoured syrup, like dried fruit or cinnamon sticks or even tea bags. Just make sure you have a fully sterile jar to store it in and a mixture like that will last 6 months to a year or more in the fridge, the sugar concentration prevents the growth of bacteria.
Sorry im info dumping lmao
