>>55248995The postgame is for stuff you save after the main storyline. And in most games, those features ARE available during the main story. Some even give you access early on and then flesh out with even more to do after the credits roll.
If it's your prerogative to fully complete all of those sidegames before beating the Champion then that's on you, but most people would check out the optional side stuff after the credits roll.
>Why should [new locations] be arbitrarily shuffled to after the credits?Because that's how games are designed? The main quest of a game has a certain flow to it, with the time between events being thought out by the developers and purposefully done. Postgame areas are generally DESIGNED to be postgame, and arbitrarily putting them into the main story wouldn't work without completely redesigning them.
>That's what expansions are for, a well written game should at least try to tie up loose ends. The Looker sidequest is something that could have happened in the main game.Fair enough, in current year it makes more financial sense to do optional plots/areas as DLC instead of postgame, which SWSH/SV proved is effective. That doesn't mean these things wouldn't have made for great postgames, hell look at how Johto is jerked off for having "le epic second region!!!11" in it.
>You just sound mad that by and large Pokemon games are short and lack original meaningful content so you compensate with a "postgame" to hold onto your game forever. I suggest trying other games that arent just Pokemon or spinoffs, you'll be a lot happier.Ad hominem isn't going to change the fact that a postgame does help add a lot of fun playtime to people who enjoy the Pokemon formula, and denying so ultimately ignores a percentage of the playerbase that loves this kind of stuff.
