>>55257100There's so many weird moments in the Main game and DLC where it's someone is acting like they're about to reveal they were an evil mastermind who orchestrated these events the whole time, and then just don't. The AI professor, This scene, Briar in the cave, etc. Just lots of weird scenes where someone is animated with shifty eyes and suspicious dialogue or whatever and then the scene just goes back to normal. Like the way this scene is framed you'd think Drayton was about to reveal himself as the final boss and he "tricked" you into defeating Kieran for him, then all of sudden everything is cheery again and he's talking about his "best buds".
