>>55259277incomprehensible jargon even many long-time fans won't comprehend. it's weird to compare how GF handles these things lately. in Gen 6 they werent sure what the reception to megas would be so none of them were assigned their own pokedex numbers (makes it easy to back out and erase them from existence if reaction was poor), in Gen 7 most regionals again dont have their own dex, but in Gen 8 and 9 they're starting to create increasingly convoluted regional forms/etc. and instead of continuing to make it easy to back out, they're assigning these things dex numbers
in a few years time all of these random evolutions and formes will be looked at as legacy bloat and GF will regret assigning so many of these things dexes because it means theyre kinda stuck with them forever
