That's why there's a fucking slime monster.
It's why I always find it stupid when people go like "ohh Kanto has a Pokemon that's just a pile of slime or a Pokemon that's just an animal" or whatever the fuck cause like yeah, those are common JRPG enemies, of course they'd be Pokemon you fucking mongrel.
Back then they didn't just design Pokemon to be marketable mascots, each of them fulfilled different roles.
