>>55264787When it comes to what's next, it basically boils down to Johto and/or Unova. So that eliminates the Yellow, Red, and Black pills.
As for the possiilities eithin these, i don't think they're gonna do anything they've every done before. prior to PLA, no one was predicting anything remotely like it. Prior to BDSP, no one was predicting a regression in artstyle and muh faithful remakes to that calibur. No one was predicting a dual remake strategy. No one was predicting anything like Let's Go.
We can, however, place these games in categories of possible games, without getting into the specifics of what it will be called.
"Traditional Johto/Unova Remakes" is what I refer to every type of remake except PLA. They all are essentially alt universe version of their base games, but theyhave varying degrees of faithfulness, features from latest new gens, and mechanics. But storywise, they're filling in the slot of their original gen games. Your blue and pink pill fall into this category, but so do many other types of remake that could happen in any combination. We could get a Crystal remake specifically, for example, with Entei and Raikou as mascots. or they change either Unova's or Johto's story by swapping out their Legends for Paradox counterparts. The possibilities are endless, but alt universe - faithful is the spectrum that this category takes up.
"Legends Game" is what I'll use to describe a revisit that takes place relatively far into the past or future compared to the rest of the games. They might not call it Legends but it's the same kind of game. Your green and Orange pills fall into this, but many are talking about a distant future game as well.
The Last possibility is basically B3W3, but they may or may not call it that even if it serves as that. The only difference between this and a future Unova game would be that this would still have returning characters, more familiar gameplay, and follow up B2W2's story more directly.
I personally want two regions
