BW's Tournaments did a better job at channeling the battle focus aspect of the anime. The individual battles are fun, too, worth doting their individual skill, strategy, and their unique Pokemon they owned and utilized.
And BW somehow did this better than XY who is supposed to be more serious and battle centric than BW. Also Iris was better written and had more going for her than any prior companion.
