After that the internet changed drastically and 4chan with it, mostly on the censorship in main platforms, and post-post-ironic humor became the only accrpted type of it in 4chan that could be remotely tolerable in order to distance themselves from Reddit which copied everything 4chan did like a little brother making injokes in a family dinner.
As for Clover it's a good game and a nice time capsule of that period's 4chan; and at times a love letter and an acid critique of Pokemon at large. I recommend it
