Palworld doesn't fix any of the issues Pokemon has, it just takes the game and floods it with the same survival/looting/crafting cancer that has plagued western drivel for the past 10 years.
Pokemon's issues are that it has an awful technical aspect, not setting up a proper infrastructure for online PvP, having a pointless, empty open world, not making double battles the standard and straight up removing single battles, not buffing bug types and having a ton of fat to trim like all the picnic shit, or contests, or those shitty side quests in Indigo Disk, and Palworld doesn't solve a single one of those.
If GF got schooled by Palworld and tried to "learn" from it, their next game would be Scarlet and Violet all over again with all the issues they have, but with base building and having to farm every single item that previously you'd just buy at the Pokemarkets.
If there's any game that schooled Game Freak and TPC is Pokemon Showdown, that's the game they should learn from, remind them that Pokemon is a turn based JRPG, not some shitty fucking dress up simulator about going on hecking wholesome picnics with your hecking cute Pokemons.
