A gen 5 hoenn remake, and possible subsequent pokemon grey reusing these features, would have the potential to be the best games in the franchise overshadowing even platinum and HGSS.
Hoenn has the superior battle frontier but the inferior mechanics (no automatic level scaling, no doubles mode or partner mode), gen 5’s battle subway had the gen 4 mechanics and even added frontier brain fights for double and partner modes. Imagine this applied to Hoenn’s facilities
Meanwhile if we get another remake this year it’s gonna be trash like bdsp
