>>55289671That's fair. It's got a long way to go before it'll replace the official games - no attack animations it's just a text box, a bunch of pokemon not officially in yet (though you can force spawn most in with a substitute doll model), fishing and breeding not implemented, etc.
For anyone worried they'll burn out before it gets finished but still really want to play now I can definitely recommend getting your friends together and looking through mods to see what everyone would like to try and setting up a server with your own custom pack tailored to your group's play styles. My group's currently running 95 mods, and there's so much to mess around with when I need a break from the pokemon stuff that cobblemon will have some pretty big updates by time I've caught everything currently available. It also helps to be playing with others so we can help each other and do server events like a bug catching contest, and since we all know each other we don't run into moderation issues like land disputes or griefing or anything. The saddle from inventory pets works with modded mobs too so we can ride our pokemon around, biomes o plenty + enlightend + aether + twilight forest + stalwart dungeons + towns and towers gives us a lot more things to explore, Alex's mobs + friends and foes gives us a lot of other creatures to populate the world, and sophisticated storage has helped the inventory situation a lot. We've also got a ton of decorative stuff, technical things like the create and botanica, and weapons mods but I haven't really dug into them yet.
