It's like they make their system intentionally gimmicky to make it harder to play the games on anything else but that system. So as a result you got desirable games in high demand but are not being produced anymore for a system not being produced anymore as well. Prices get jacked up due to supply and demand.
You can easily emulate DS games but you always got to deal with compromise of using one screen for a two screen system. So either having them both on the same screen or constantly flipping between the top and bottom screen with a button. Both are way less practical than playing it on native hardware.
