>>55303382I dunno. That's, again, what I did as a kid, and I just got into competitive recently. Started grinding metamons like a week or two ago, and I'm already at Great Ball Level 9 or something, which is the third highest in the game. I usually run the same three Pokemon every match with the three other slots filled for niche situations when I see a certain mon I have a hard time with in the lobby.
Gholdenglo is good; don't have one yet, and I fucking hate them on my opponents' teams. Toxapex is one of my main three, along with Dragonite and Flutter Mane.
Others don't really scare me.
My prediction of how a match would go:
>you open with Gligar>Dragonite, use Dragon Dance>Gliscor uses Spikes>Dragonite, use Dragon Dance>Spikes again>Dragonite, use Dragon Claw>You switched to Gholdenglo>Dragonite, Fire Tera type, use Fire Punch>Gholdengay dies>You switch back to Gliscor>Dragonite, use Dragon Claw>OHKO>You switch to Amoongus>Dragonite, use Fire Punch>OHKO(S/V singles is ass because it's only 3v3, but Smogon is even more ass for banning and nerfing everything that made the combat varied and interesting.)
I do wish there was a hard mode or a postgame where you actually did face those sorts of teams single player.
