is lucario really based on anubis? is there evidence for it? aside from being a bipedal dog, he doesn't really seem like he fits with the anubis myth. he doesn't have any powers based on judging the dead or sending people to the afterlife.
i remember reading a post saying those appendages on the back of his head are meant to evoke the image of a monk's staff ("Khakkhara" i guess), the rings on this type of staff tend to levitate in anime, like how lucario's antennae do.
