There are so many better ways to introduce my partner to the franchise. I would start off with Fire Red Leaf Green to get my partner slowly acclimated to the mechanics and world building, instead of shoving go mechanics, and forced modern friendship mechanics that kill a genuine faithful Pokemon experience. Let's go games are not the best games to start off with because god forbid they pick up another Pokemon game and they start asking

Hence why I think FRLG is a better first experience, because in those games you get to have an experience where you get to experience the foundation of Pokemon and get a true feel of how it actually works without the weirdness and brokenness of RBY, and the weird modern go normie changes of LGPE.
