The worst part about this is that a lot of them are based off animals. You really can't argue that "Lightning Zebra" is stealing an idea. I also would immediately throw out anything bird based as well, or generic designs like witches or monkeys.
Really adds to the schizo shit. I can see it with Decidueye though, but they made him look like a human instead of a bird.

Simple coherent color schemes, easily identifiable silhouettes, the themes of the designs are very clearly communicated by being simplistic, and appealing because of the cute anime faces.

Every other Pokemon rip off fails at some or all of these. Temtem especially is filled with neon colored clusterfucks with zero appeal.

Also, when people point out similarities, they only use one Pokemon as a reference instead of multiple, which is how Palworld built its creatures; taking parts from one Pokemon, parts from another, mixing them and maybe change the color scheme (sometimes they don't even bother, and they only had 110 to design).
