Gen 6 “futureproofed” Pokemon and their animations. Also there’s 110ish pals compared to the 1000+ Pokemon now, so it would be an immense task for a small indie company like gamefreak to do such a thing.

this is no longer, and has not been, an excuse for a long time.

if i can single handedly do small loop animations on 100+ more complex models in a month, they can have a team of 5-10 people do that too.
