Fucking this! It was the most fun challenging, diverse, different Pokemon game we have had in forever with the most Pokemon, good story, and amazing fanservice. Anyone who unironically complains about cutscenes and gen 7 in general is a low attention span underage that gets all their opinions from Poketubers.

The 3DS era is unironically great and I am tired of pretending it isn't.

Yeah the first half was fantastic.

If Gen 1 had the pacing of Gen 7 there would be no Pokemania. Never. This isn't a 'muh zoomer' issue - it's literally not a game until an hour in.

Gen 7 is one of the most memorable games in the series, Gen 7 has some of the most popular characters for a reason.
Ultra Beasts were also a fun concept.

I cannot do another playthrough of this gen. The thought of having to sit through all these shitty stopping me over and over again to either give exposition or make me sit through another tutorial almost makes me nauseous. The ultra games made it worse by having the bottom screen constantly parrot shit that you've learned in the first hour of the game.

Gen 7 is not without its positives but FUCK if its main scenario isn't a giant chore to play through.

Yeah going through an hour straight of text and fade to black cutscenes before you are given in game freedom everytime you want to start a new file is absolutely a good thing
