I don't buy this "Let's GO 2 won't happen because GO isn't a normie thing anymore" argument at all.
Nothing about Pokemon is a normie thing currently, so a new Let's GO game is just as possible as anything else. There are enough Pokemon fans who liked LGPE and who like Johto.

They can't just be repeating first generation or two. Pokemon fans will buy pretty much anything, but they should keep the current remake schedule to keep some freshness. LGPE had little to no value in terms of innovation.

Honestly how would you guys feel about Crystal remakes, but it's split into 2 versions starring Entei and Raikou, and it has the art style of Let's Go or some different kind of experimental art style if we do get Johto in 2024?

go catching is unironically better than wild battles. at least chaining catches in lgpe had value, nobody deals with wild pokemon after the second or third gym. they just spam repels.
