the concept of pokemon is the interaction between you, the pokemon, and the world. the pokemon anime in the first season sold this perfectly, cute and cool creatures doing cute and cool things. then it got hyper empathise battling and boring slice of life shit. as for the games here I quote a /vp/ anon...
>Pokemon's issue is that every change they make feels half assed and you know it will be gone in the next game. They never commit to a direction for the series, so they can never actually improve. I despise open world shit, and SV is a particularly bad open world game, but you know that instead of learning from it and improving they will scrap how they did SV's open world and do something completely different in the next game. That is GF's biggest problem. Despite making the same game for 25 years the franchise is directionless and they don't want to move the franchise in any direction so they toss out gimmicks to hide the fact they don't actually improve the games themselves.
now we can understand palworld's "rise"
