It and Walking Wake were distributed in limited-time events like Mythicals, but the game's coding doesn't consider them "special." You can trade them over GTS, but you can't do the same for Mew or Celebi.

The definition of "mythical" has been skewed this generation, but it does fulfill the criteria of "not necessary to fully complete the Pokedex it appears in" alongside Walking Wake and Pecharunt, never mind the fact they're all placed AFTER Terapagos.

Only future Paradox Pokemon. Past ones at least do more than just make each Pokemon chrome with liquids, and there is also better lore behind them too.
Like how Past Paradoxes are the only ones that base themselves off pre-evolutions like Flutter Mane, Sandy Shocks, and Slither Wing, showing that the Pokemon would later evolve into something more domesticated.

They're not true mythicals. Basically in the same category as Zorua and Zoroark in Black and White or Ho-Oh and Lugia in Gen 3 where they can't be caught in-game for a while. No doubt they're be normally available in some future gen (Maybe not the next gen, but eventually in the future.)
