Sure, the games can be fun to replay, trying different teams, aiming to explore everything...but Gamefreak were always garbage developers who make tons of mistakes.
Yawnfag may be an annoying retarded troll, but honestly the base point is valid - playing with one Pokemon does trivialize the game. Gamefreak just can't balance their games well, that's why many romhacks introduce things such as level caps, it's their way of mitigating Gamefreak's poor balancing
