Imagine if the gyms werent still designed for dumbasses who only level one pokemon. Imagine if things scaled to whatever highest level pokemon had been in your possession on that game and the minimum team size the gym leader would fight you with was 3, and past level 35, it was always 6 for the leader, 3 for the minions. and past 50 6 for everyone in a gym. And other trainers frequently had 4 or more. Except for the occasional trainer that comes with a tagline "These Pokemon are WELL TRAINED" to indicate trained EV stats.

Imagine if training up specific EVs wasn't obnoxiously fucking stupid and could be done....at gyms.

For example, having 5 points of Plains blocks and 10 points of Forest blocks in Wetland will cause the game to insert Farfetch'd, Furret and Pachirisu in grass encounter slots 1, 0, and 2, respectively.
