In all honesty, 80 for base stats is on the higher end of average. That's not too bad. Granted that means a BST of 480, making it get mogged by starters, but I digress. Anyone who says this is piss poor has probably touched showdown a little too much.

It's not piss poor in gen 3. You can set up spikes, taunt, explode, and threaten zapdos+celebi turn 1. Gen 4+ powercreep rapes it though.

Kyurem, the penultimate legal ice type, makes finch mald and outside of STAB, its only coverage is Earth Power. Not that it needs it since Freeze Dry exists, but the point stands.
