While I loved digimon to death (anime) as a kid and found the whole idea of a digital world super cool (the adverts on foxkids did also have this cool 101010 raining matrix code) is the entire idea of the digital wold no cringe especially at this point in time and the new 2020 anime?

I find it cringe that magically the digital world has effects on real life computer systems. Maybe because I'm all grown up and actually know how computers work.

And it looks to me that the 2020 anime pushes this super hard to a level that was not present in the 1999 anime.

Anyone feel the same? And that digimon should drop the le digital world nonsense? And simply have it as an alternate world of monsters instead? Because this is what it essentially was in basically all previous anime.
