HGSS is aesthetically inferior to GSC, but graphics hardly matter when looking at a game's quality as a whole, and HGSS offers a number of gameplay improvements that greatly outweigh its visual inferiority.

Even being generous by discounting the 3D angle and the trees, it still looks worse because of the tacked on staircases, missing chunks from the tail, and random walls sticking out to block the outer path. I feel like one designer made a clefairy and then another came along and didn't even realise it was supposed to look like anything.

I don't think there's any way to make this work with gen 4 graphics/perspective. It would look really flat and boring. Some things only work within the limitations and minimalism of the old games. And that's fine because that's what gives them their charm.

Reworking team seems easier and is consistent with Let's Go. For the token Fairy-type specialist, having an older sister of Whitney that uses Clefable among other things has appeal.

What's with the sudden anti-HGSS propaganda on this board all of the sudden? Not even anti-Johto, but anti-HGSS specifically. We had a thread yesterday with one person saying following Pokémon was overrated and that they always tried to disable it or wished there was a way to, and there were dozens (presumably samefags or Discord trolls) of people agreeing with him. Everyone knows HGSS is the peak of Pokémon.

The Kimono girl cutscenes were actually a concept revived from really early beta concepts. They were supposed to have Jynx dancers instead of Eeveelutions, who would dance together with the kimono girls to summon Ho-oh.
