Yeah, it's just a Battle Frontier add on for Diamond and Pearl, making it feel even more irrelevant once Platinum had its own Battle Frontier.

Because Colosseum and XD existed purely to get mons that got fucked over by there being no GBC to GBA connectivity. There wasn't that issue with the DS games because you could migrate from the GBA ones.
