Why do people think they'll make Let's Go Johto anyway?
The original games were made to capitalize on the popularity of Go, which has long waned at this point.
I think if they're going to remake it it'll be in the style of BDSP if anything.

Because Masuda outright said if they do well, they'll consider making more.
Selling 15m every 6-7 years in tandem with their traditional lead pair/rehash/remake pattern will always be more attractive, especially when you niggers seethe over game design choices as being made to directly cut costs or increase profits. Shitting out a $60 VERY kiddy title for very little outlay is the peak of that mentality after all.

A Let's Go Johto game wouldn't crack 12m copies. I'm surprised LGPE sold as poorly as it did considering it's the first Switch game and Kanto. It's on track to being the worst selling Switch game once we get updated figures for BDSP and Legends.

Not immediately. LGPE hit 15m in 6 years though and 10m in 6 weeks (which was the point of releasing it). HGSS sold more than FRLG, so extrapolating on that, LG2J would outsell LGPE. It also wouldn't be expected to perform akin to a lead-Gen pair, thus even more chance of getting shat out, act in concert to what already exists to allow them to not have to worry about a proper title launch for one the years before Gen 10.

Did you ignore the rest of the context on purpose? LGPE is a 6 year old game. BDSP is a 2 year old game. Both have the same sales figures and we haven't got sales for BDSP or Legends since July 2023. Next time they update LGPE will be the worst selling Switch game by far. By comparison, it sold poorly.

We don't get sales updates on BDSP or Legends because their sales fell off a cliff after a few months you retard. If either of them pass up LGPE it'll be by a very slim margin.

Because holiday 2022 was its first holiday season after release. Outside of that and the first few months, it sold like shit.

BDSP cratered so hard in sales that from May 2022 to Feburary 2024, LGPE actually OUTSOLD it despite being years old by that point. BDSP was in the lead before LGPE took it back. If anything, the gap between them might widen.

Remaking SS and SV to a map similar to older games might be interesting. But I'd rather those go the full way to the point the games would be able to run on the GB if put on a cartridge.
