I only know that Team Rocket was based on that famous anime trio. I remember watching Flint the Time Detective and thinking the trio is the same as Team Rocket, with a green-haired Jessie and their own Giovanni.
Near a decade ago I watched Nadia in my Evangelion fan phase and I was like holy fuck Team Rocket is based on the Grandis gang.
