Notebooks detailing the species of birds of the region he is in, detailing any pokemon he wants to train, and just about everything regarding the legendary bird trio and their galarian counterparts from descriptions, eyewitness reports, feather samples, and more. Also pokeballs and ultra balls. Axel only uses pokeballs for pokemon on his team and ultra balls to catch the legendary birds.

The OOC action here is window shopping. Axel doesn't like the idea of just looking at things without the intent to buy, he always has what he wants to buy in his mind before going out, or has ordered it online and is just going to pick it up.

A gun, first and foremost is the first thing people will likely notice and gravitate towards first upon peeking into Emily's bag. Cause a lot of more "sour" interactions with fellow humans don't require much more than a gun in hand to help things be resolved.

A disc drum full of TMs and TRs. Potions and status heal items. She doesn't fuck with X-Stat items. Other random stuff she has picked up along the way. Like 2 Master Balls she found and stole from Team Plasma that she keeps in case a dangerous Pokemon needs to be subdued and calmed down before being released again or to forcibly move injured Pokemon as needed to somewhere that can help them. Then there's just random junk like Rare Candies, Vitamins, little treasure bits and held battle items.

She also has that special PC storage-esque box that her sister Arai gave her that stores a lot of pre-made food and drinks cause obviously items stored through the PC/Pokeball-esque capsule method do not go cold or become rotten since they were converted into an energy based/digital form. So the cube tends to have 12 packs of soda, plastic wrapped pre-made tacos and burgers and so in that basically sit in stasis inside the storage device so she has food on the road. She also keeps berries in it for her Frosmoth and Volcarona.

Compared to some people, Emily's actually travelling rather light, especially with the help of that special capsule box. No sleeping bags or tents. She likes sleeping on the grass when out of town and her giant ass coats are practically fluffy, large and warm enough to be a sleeping bag for her anyway.

In Koa’s sheet, I didn’t include his team’s items but rather items he carries with himself. That means his Z-Ring, his Kommo-o Z-Crystal, a few food items and a compass. When Koa’s in the caves of the Vast Poni Canyon, sometimes he needs that compass to guide himself if there’s a small cave-in somewhere. He knows the area like the back of his thumb, but there’s not enough security for a kid like him. He’d probably have a phone, I’ve debated whether he’d have one or not for a while now, but it probably wouldn’t be a Rotom phone or something. Knowing his parents, it’d be the equivalent of a Nokia or a 2000s flip phone.

Added lore: all of Koa’s Pokémon wear a little band somewhere on their bodies with the same colours and red sun symbol as his bandana. That’s the symbol of the Ka’uhane family and he makes sure all of them wear it to be part of his family.

>Chomper (Tyrunt) wears it on his tail.
>Rebel (Gabite) also wears it on his tail.

bibis got herself kitted out with all the standard adventure gear you might expect. she keeps a sleeping bag rather than a tent since she likes being out under the stars. she doesn't usually head *too* far from civilization but shes keeps at least a couple days worth of canned/non perishable foods on her and a few fresh ingredients if she wants a sandwich on the road.

side note, whatever food bibi makes is apparently edible, if not good to most pokemon, but people tend to find it revolting for whatever reason. one time nemona ate a meal bibi made to try and fuel up before they battled together and it sent her straight to the nurses office. bibi declared herself the winner by TKO

i'd imagine if she were ever in a region outside paldea she'd be all stocked up on repels. keeps a smokeball on her lead when out adventuring in case things get dicey, and she's held onto her masterball for similar reasons. in terms of what pokeballs she favors heal balls are her #1 so whatever new friend she made is all patched up. aside from that it's mostly practical stuff, so ultra/quick/dusk balls. she keeps lots of medicine too, the kind for people and pokemon. potions for her partners and lots of disinfectants and bandages for her. willing to bet she has at least 1 prescription to take regularly. (still too lazy to research illnesses, oops)

in her wallet are a bunch of tiny printed out versions of photos from throughout her journey. selfies with friends/gym leaders but also the occasional photo of what seems like empty wilderness, caves, or endless sky, which is just b taking commemorative photos of places she's explored that are dangerous or hard to reach

rolls of stickers are in there too, she decorates her pokeballs and phone cases with them.

finally you got her battle related shit, choice items, light clay, life orb, weather rocks y’know the drill. lots of vitamins and fresh start mochi since she likes to experiment with her partners strengths regularly.

Before I take a nap for a couple hours, here's the basics of Grym's tale.

Greta was a lovely young girl. Spending time with her loving mother and father (the latter being a ghost type gym leader) she especially enjoyed playing with her Father's Gengar.
Things were perfect.
And then one day, Greta and her parents died.
A vicious collision on the road left the child and her parents devoid of life in their car. This would have been the end of Greta, had her Father's Gengar not been accidentally released from it's Pokéball.
Deeply upset that it's trainer and family had been cruelly robbed of life, Gengar then decided to perform an act of sacrifice and gave it's own "life" to revive Greta.
Now as a 16 year old Ghost type trainer, Greta carries on her Father's ambitions by training to be a Ghost type gym leader.
From that point on, she gave herself a new name.

Ayumu's wallet is bursting full of cash, along with his spider coin and an old ass ID. Now his backpack is divided in 2 parts, one for consumables, a.k.a. his sweets and healing items, and the other is for the hoard, meaning, the Griseous Orb, pearls, nuggets, first aid kit, some similar stuff and all the money that didn't fit in his wallet basically serving as filling.
Yes, Ayumu is a hoarder, in his 13 years of travelling, he almost never spends any money, just keeps it as if he had dragon blood or something.

And a fellow human being with either no Pokemon, or all their Pokemon being beaten is usually able to be handled by a simple little pocket SMG as she waves it around to hold control of the now purely human on human interaction to then ensue. Palworld acting as a kick in the dick is good and hopefully it pushes them to be more competitive and put more competent devs and more money into Game Freak itself. Yep! It's an open secret really. Anyone he's worked with like the Gym Leader or even the faculty are aware that it's Orchis. Generally only the most oblivious adults would be unable to tell after interacting with him for long enough.

Among the students it's probably much less known but an astute enough person could eventually figure it out or at least have a very good hunch about it assuming they got close enough to him.

He'll refuse to admit it though. And I just think it's really fun to think of him coming up with increasing more elaborate ways to deflect or lie his way out admitting it.

Arai on top of being a tech wiz is also a weaver of clothing. Her 2 main hobbies really. After some trial and error she has managed to make shorts that can endure Emily's bottom heaviness.

Well, aside from "that other thing", Alex usually carries a Max Repel for when he "doesn't want to be bothered", as well as sunglasses, an extra set of clothes, including an extra pair of earrings for some reason, his lucky coin, insurance policies, some Ultra Balls because why not, and a fucking Assault Vest (as if his Kevlar lined suit isn't enough). Did I mention that Alex is kind of paranoid? Oh, and sometimes food. But never for his Pokemon. They have such little exposure to the outside world that they don't even know what a treat is. They rarely even eat actual food as well, since the Pokeball provides sustenance to support them, which keeps them from getting hungry.

Oh, and the funny thing is, Alex also has a suppressed PPK in a holster, which is what he mostly uses. The MAC-10 is for extended firefights, which will probably never happen, but it's there if it's needed. I couldn't decide which to give him, so I went "Why not both?"

Though she lacks any skill in battle herself, I rely on her to even the playing field for me in dangerous situations and I can personally attest to the reliability of her inventions. Orchis has a pretty ordinary bag. Books, paperwork, reports, some potions and first aid items. Maybe a prop or two in case he needs to act chuuni on the fly. Not that interesting overall.

Vega, though! Under that fancy coat of hers, Vega has a lot of useful items. Obv since she's inspired by Zorro she has a rapier but it's meant more for people since Pokemon inherently have better resistance to human weaponry. A throwing axe that's mostly for clearing out bushes when going through the forest. Since potions haven't quite become a thing yet, she carries some medicinal herbs. A little water canister for herself. Overall her coat is actually surprisingly heavy due to all the stuff she carries.
Vega usually only has Lurantis around at all times, since all her other Pokemon patrol the forests or defend specific bits of territory. So when she gets into danger she needs something to equalize fighting multiple people and Pokemon at once.
That's where an assortment of Rana's paper talismans come in. Above I mentioned the artificial sunlight ones: those are used all over Falce since the massive trees towering above the city make it somewhat dark. Those are meant to last about 10 years each. By modifying them to overload and produce a lot of light at once, Lurantis is able to cast Solar Blade or Beam like in harsh sunlight. The timing for it can be pretty tight though, since the talisman burns out nearly instantly. Another use of them is the ability to "store" moves. It's a one time use, but Vega can cheat out moves like Protect or the various Powders on the fly. Sleep Powder is as handy as you can imagine. There are some limitations, such as only being able to store a stable tangible object produced by a move and not something volatile like a Hyper Beam or anything. Also there's only so many she can carry at a time.

Alex doesn’t have any moral convictions, but he respects the protagonists for being able to take down their region’s Teams. Thing is, he views all of them as simply taking revenge for past wrongs. The idea of being a fighter for good, and having a genuine desire to fight against evil, doesn’t register in his head. He also respects Champions for their strength, although not the E4 or Gym leaders. Except for Rika; he meets her during a filler scene in the story I’m going to write and has a good impression of her because of her personality.
Alex hates the International Police (except Nate because he’s “the only one who actually did some shit”) because he views them as inefficient bureaucrats who only make arrests and let the protagonists/vigilantes do all of the work for them. He also hates Teams, but not really because they’re evil, more just because they would impede his life and the operations of his dad’s company.

Except for Team Plasma. He REALLY doesn’t like them. That one is personal.

"The gremlin" is indifferent of men in-character. But she's super distrusting of people in general and her high skepticism of other human beings makes her liable to assume ulterior, manipulative motives even if there aren't any. She's not the least bit trusting of strangers or people who want something from her at all. She wouldn't shoot someone unless they are doing something she outright does not approve of that actually causes harm to something of value. A drilling rig doesn't interest her at all but she knows that such things are kinda necessary to grab natural resources. Nothing can be gained without a bit of environment alteration. She cares about the environment but not to the point that she doesn't want people harnessing natural resources at all.

tl;dr She wouldn't shoot him but she wouldn't be interested in helping either.

Here’s Koa’s interaction with Rana! It was very fun to write. I can’t tell what Rana’s age is (I was assuming she was an old lady until I saw your image of her), but I think her general demeanour made Koa think of her as an older sister type. Hell, he even uses “ma’am” with her, which I assume she’d be very offended by. Koa is a bit tactless despite his efforts to put on a knightly façade, so he’d apologise profusely.

As for the “settling down” question, Koa would just take some hours away from his tour guide shifts to attend to trialgoers. When he turns 20, he’d go back to being a full-time tour guide, but he’d start to look into travelling. As he grows stronger and his team becomes more powerful, he’d return to Alola later to become an Elite Four. I’m sure in a few years they’d probably change their lineup.

One of Orchis' biggest weakness as a trainer is that he's a little too comfortable with losing. As Orchis he focuses more on teaching people, and as Kingu he cares more about the intensity of the match rather than the outcome. That flaw is rooted just in the fact that he enjoys seeing other people happy and feels bad when he sees them lose.
Speaking outside of his perspective and more into mine, it's a trait I don't really like. (Which is good honestly) Like yeah it's kinda noble or whatever but it limits his potential. But it does mean that when other people will suffer for his loss then he stops half-assing and that can be very fun. That's sorta what I had in mind with his double battle with Nemona since he wouldn't want to see his dear friend lose because of him. It'd be nice to write a character arc where he becomes a bit more prideful/selfish though. Maybe someone else helps him realize that there are people who don't want to see him just bow his head and lose either.

Alex almost never loses (how original), the only people who realistically have a chance of beating him are Champions, greatly seasoned trainers like Red and Ash, and prolific villains like Giovanni and Cyrus (as well as power fantasy characters like the rape goblin but they don't really count)/. If you have a Mega/G-Max you have a better shot.

He'd just try to contain his desperation-induced anger and just give some fake-nice compliment.

I was planning on making a slightly alternate timeline where Axel actually talked and one of the first things he'd say was along the likes of

At this point with how much she has honed herself over a year and a half it'd probably take someone like Cynthia again to do the job. She's generally learned how to sidestep or outright power through field hazards and status moves. She also tends to highly take advantage of how little of a synchronous link Pokemon and Trainers on average have and how a Pokemon without a tight mental link to their Trainer are the most prone to the "everyone has a plan till they get punched in the face" effect and that even some strongly bonded pairs still struggle with it just as even professional fighters in real life do.

So it often comes down to a contest of raw power since she has over the years begun developing answers to just about every attempt at subverting the need for raw strength to win. And of course very few can really overcome that kind of mountain. BUT when she was less experienced and riding solely on her sheer, unrefined strength, she'd often fly into seething tangents about status and hazard spammers if they won and she'd quietly grump off and just vanish if she lost a contest of raw power like she technically did vs Cynthia.

Roukanon, a dumb question, even if I know the answer will most likely be "just draw bro" but how did you learn to draw? Did you follow any particular guide or something? A youtuber, a book, something, anything, if you did it like that.
Rambling here, but after not being able to sleep through the entire night, I decided to just try to draw or something and I decided to stop overthink it and just follow this one book I downloaded but after reading it I realized the book is not for complete newfags like me so now I'm just as lost as I was at the beginning looking at all the stuff I've bookmarked and saved but no idea which one to start with or follow.

I've been drawing since I was a kid, but the problem is that I DIDN'T follow guides. I had a lot of "How to draw" books but I couldn't really understand them (and some of them were kinda crappy anyway). It does sound lame but I drew a LOT so I ended up slowly but surely getting better over a period of years. One piece of advice I'd say is to look at shows/comics/artists you like and try to emulate, copy or even trace elements you like from them just so you can like...get an understanding of what you like about them.

Depending on how much Ayumu likes any given town/place, he may spend up to a few months there (longest to date being Ballonlea), in which he'll stay at the Pokémon Center (I read a /qst/ a few months back where Pokémon Centers offered free lodging for travelers as long as all the rooms weren't booked yet, so I adopted the concept) or make an igloo with Yuki and kinda of set up a "Yorozuya shop" and help people for whatever they want to pay, be it money or some random item, his help ranging from classic RPG fetch quest (a.k.a. gather and transport materials), teaching kids and even adults basics in Pokémon battling or even general academics, helping restaurants if a chef gets sick or something (especially if it's for making sweets), to serve as bodyguard or pacify raging wild Pokémon. Of course, getting his help will still depend on actually finding him first, since he'll constantly be out exploring the surrounds.

Having to give reward money to the winner was Ayumu's only problem with it, personally anyways, his Pokémon however would feel frustrated, which would in turn make him sad to see than like that. Things got worse when Ayumu got his Mawile, as she would get specially depressed after losing, which was when Ayumu promised to never let then lose again and started training them to be autonomous, creative and unpredictable in battle, and from then on, Ayumu has yet to break his promise.

I want to get started with Alex's story but I don't know where to start. I want to begin writing his main story but I feel like I might need to first write about his childhood, becoming a trainer, and then his work with Team Plasma followed by him hunting them down. So anything Rouka needs to carry around she puts in a pokeball. The problem is she often forgets to label them meaning she often throws out all of her stuff until she can get the item she wants. For some bonus lore, a divine treasure is an item tied to each of the 4 gods in Furia. Each clan possesses a treasure corresponding to their god. They take the form of a dragon's claw clutching a pearl, but they seem broken. Their most basic property is just how much power is in them. Pokemon and certain humans can make use of that power, but since the treasures are tied to their Lord's consciousness it can be a bit temperamental. Being able to use them at all is typically kind of a miracle.

It was very fun to write, as I said. Heh, I think Koa appreciated Rana’s hospitality even if she had a rude demeanour overall. Not because he’s some kind of pushover, but because he overlooks people’s behaviour if they’re not overtly evil. He’s not confrontational. And strong-willed girls pair well with him, anyway. Although it might make him a bit sad to know that Rana have Vega the scale instead of making a talisman with it, even if Koa would’ve had a good impression of Vega from that interview, so he probably wouldn’t mind either way. Here’s my entry:

Added lore: in my headcanon, TMs are just special training tapes. They’re recorded and officially sanctioned by the League, with tutorials where special trainers show off a Pokémon that knows the move. The tutorial goes step by step and has explanations both for the trainer and from a Pokémon perspective (as in, scientific explanations as to how the Pokémon would mold their energy to use the move). The tapes are imbued with some energy by the Pokémon in the video after recording. When a trainer buys a TM, they put the tape in a TV or something and watch it with their Pokémon. The energy is imbued into the Pokémon that watches it, which transfers a form of muscle memory. With practice, the Pokémon will learn the move soon enough. (Also, I think the 4 moves limitation works better as a League-sanctioned restriction than it does an in-universe one.)

That special energy makes the TMs break down after use, however. Silph, Devon and others are looking for ways to create sturdier TMs. HMs are a similar case, but they’re made with experimental materials as they seem to be more essential moves that trainers might need. They’re far more expensive tapes to produce and they’re in very short supply, which is why you don’t usually buy them. However, you’d only ever need them if your Pokémon can’t naturally swim, fly, climb rocks or cut grass. I guess.

Imagine if TM actors were celebrities, though. “Hi, I’m Troy McClure! You may know me from such TMs as Thunder Punch, X-Scissor, and Close Combat.” And yes, there’s absolutely a movie equivalent to Rocky with a Hitmonchan going up as an underdog against a Medicham.

At the start of the business the tankers were encountering a significant problem with Dragalge habitats. As a result, Monty sent out people to capture Dragalge en masse in order to clear them out. There is now a storage somewhere full of Pokeballs with Dragalge in them. These Dragalge are issued to guards and trained to fire poison at intruders. Alex was given one of these as a gift for his thirteenth birthday and Monty kept a shiny that was found one day. Besides that, it’s not exactly predictable what Pokémon are used. Unlike most security services, HSS guys are selected much more carefully, often skilled Trainers or ex-Interpol. They carry full teams of their own Pokémon, not including the Dragalge with for the most part just roam freely around facilities and act as sentries. They’re well coordinated and can easily pick off unsuspecting thieves with ease, and are around the level of a high-mid tier Gym Leader. Their only weakness is numbers. They’re priced quite highly and there isn’t that many of them due to the rigorous selection process. They mostly just guard HDC facilities or on occasion high-profile people that don’t train their own Pokemon.

Monty himself carries a Salamence and a M1911 but he refrains from using them unless he is in immediate danger. If HDC really need something done he just sends his son after the asset/person. He’s aware of what Alex did to Plasma but he’s never told hi

Forgot to mention, the reason they know each other is because in the few times Alex decided to spare someone, he would show up at his door unannounced with the captured Plasma member bound, gagged, and blindfolded, so that Nate could make the arrest. Alex willingly let him take all the credit so as to remain in the shadows and not risk being discovered as the former escape broker for the Sages. Alex might be able to call in a clandestine favor if the situation calls for it…

Welp, this past weekend didn't really go according to plan.

Partially depends who she's fighting against. If it's against a friend or someone close, she's pretty impartial of the outcome, but will still do her best to win.
Otherwise, depends on how close she was to victory. If she lost by a landslide, she's be sulking about it to no end. If she lost by a hair's breath, she'd be pouting about it to no end.
Regarding the stakes, it depends a lot on the context. If anyone's wellbeing/personal safety is on the line for example, it wouldn't be beyond her to pull every dirty trick in the book to make it through whatever situation she found herself in. But otherwise, she will definitely look for a way to get back to whom she lost.

Also, many FCs became OCs with the beginning of art spread. Deviantart, Furaffinity, Tumblr, Pixiv.
And as a final point, not many knew how to work on Adoble without crashing every five seconds.

That's not what I'm getting at though. I'm not sure if it was clear but "FC" meant Fan Character not Flash Character. I was really into Kirby back then, and I had a Kirby FC. Nowadays I would be referring to it as a Kirby FC. Which is weird, because doesn't OC imply that it's an original character in its own original setting? While FC would imply that it's a character made by a fan of a certain media and inserted into it unofficially, but OC is used now how FC was used back then. Seems weird to me. I think we should bring back FC for characters in a media not of your own and keep OC for characters in your own created universes.

Master barely showed any emotion on her face, much less anger, so I'm pretty sure that image is burned deep in both of our heads. I'm pretty sure she's the only human in all of Furia that can actually throw down with Pokemon physically.

Two, since she's that strong she's actually not that good of Pokemon *Trainer*. The depth of her bond is shallower than most, meaning she doesn't have the natural advantage that most people here do of sharing thoughts and senses. However, her Pokemon have a deep love for her. Honestly it's more like they're taking care of her more than the other way around. That affection can go a long way. Combine that with Master's instruction and her natural strength, and you have someone that even I'm not sure I could win against all out. She sucks in duels though. "

And there we go! I've been wanting to talk about Orchis' other ancestor aside from Lan anyway and well, figured Vday was the best day to do it. At first I was gonna make her look more human but eventually I was all on board with going full monster girl. Honestly if I could get more precise with it I'd have probably tried to go even more into it but eh, this is fine. Also it's been a while since we used this template so I was like aw why not. I'm a fan, personally.

Any match is a good match for Hime (some better than others), because of all the effort she puts into being the strongest, she's like that one Sandshrew who resisted water attacks, but with Fire instead (and Ground in the future).
Taiyo would just be hovering over the table or counter they would be sitting at, warming them from above. Then, after everything is nice and dry, Ayumu would say "Thank you Taiyo, you saved us.", and Silas would feel a considerable increase in heat in the split second Ayumu takes to return the Volcarona to his PokeBall.
[Taiyo is very proud of himself and thus gets very excited when he's helping Ayumu and the team, but the more excited he gets, the more heat he emanates, even more so when he gets praised, so things can quickly get out of hand]
