I love Hoenn so much man.
The games have a very unique atmosphere that nothing else in the series manages to replicate.
Everything up to Mauville is pretty standard Pokemon stuff and then suddenly it turns into this cool fantasy world with a bunch of fun unique areas to explore, you stop seeing big cities and normal towns and start seeing more out there locations like Fortree and Sootopolis, that and the whole lore with the legendary Pokemon really makes these games feel like a huge epic adventure.
