Wailmer is just iconic, everyone knows what Pokemon it is and what it looks like (it helps that it's basically just a whale but still, to deny that there could be a single Pokemon fan who doesn't know what a Wailmer is is pretty dumb I think, but I'm fairly certain a considerable percentage of Pokemon fans have no idea what a Burmy or Chatot is)
