If anything I think Palworld has proven pretty conclusively that pokefags ONLY want pokemon, even if they're knockoff versions. Because it was a complete disappointment compared to what everyone hyped themselves up for thanks to Khu's tweets. Blueberry was alright but the return to Area Zero was rushed bullshit that really showed everyone who could give a fuck was too busy making Gen 10 for Switch 2.

I remember around 2020 there was an unofficial website that would tell you such stats for Nintendo Switch games. I forgot the name or link and haven't been able to find it since, if it even exists anymore. I think it was taking the data from Nintendo's server. It would be interesting to check that site.
