In terms of how much a third version improves over the base games, it goes
Emerald > Platinum > Crystal > [power gap] > Y*llow

People underestimate how shit Ruby and Sapphire are and how much Emerald improves over them
Platinum probably improves as much as Emerald, but Diamond and Pearl aren't as bad as Ruby and Sapphire
Crystal barely changes anything
Yellow also barely changes anything but all its changes just make the game worse

Exactly. Because gen 5 peaked, gen 6 had no chance but to be the downfall of the series. Thankfully gen 7 saved the franchise before anything worse than g6 happened. Glad you agree anon
