Dumb question as someone pretty new to the series, is it better to do ev and iv training that plays to a pokemon's good base stats and increases/capitalizes on them, or try to get evs/ivs in weaker stats to make them more well-rounded? I'm gonna guess the former is better since you'd have a specialized pokemon instead of one that's just okay at everything
