It fired 8 mochi in total, and only 2 were eaten. The player's dodge was impressive, but Kieran was a clear miss, and that leaves 4 shots totally unaccounted for. It's more likely that Pecharunt just isn't very accurate. Remember that Carmine, Nemona, and most of the townspeople ate the mochi directly rather than being force-fed.

What person in the right mind would eat random stuff coming out of a Pokémon anyways, also who stands around with their mouth gaping like that?
