It also got rid of HMs which is a fantastic change, added the anywhere PC box so you can swap your team on the fly, and XP share so you can rotate your team without having to grind.
I can't think of a single thing BDSP does worse other than the gym order being the same as DP instead of platinum.

Gens 5 onward are dogshit, including gen 6, 7, 8, and 9 and PLA, because they strayed from the path set by gens 1-4. HGSS were the last truly great games, and BDSP were the last true pokemon games.
