it's weak against a good amount of main story bosses. Looking at it's Gen 3 learnset, it only learns fighting type moves via level up, and they're basically all outclassed by Brick Break via TM. The only kind of real coverage it gets is Rock Tomb, and interestingly, Flamethrower. Not that you'd want to waste a Flamethrower on a Machop.
