i have lost all interest in the monster taming genre thanks to pokeshit

Tbf I only have fun in Pokémon games now if I impose some sort of artificial challenge on them. You probably need to play a more challenging monster taming game.

I mean it’s kind of the exact opposite for me. Early game is the only part that I like and then the game gets slowly less interesting over time.

You'll need Emerald, LeafGreen, probably FireRed too for starter trade, Colosseum and Gale of Darkness for Johto mons, legendary beasts, and Ho-Oh and Lugia. You'll need to do the Pomeg berry glitch and glitzer popping to execute arbitrary code to catch Deoxys and Mew. You'll need to homebrew a Wii to load a glitched save to access Gamecube homebrew to run an ISO of the Japanese bonus disc for Celebi. Oh, and the ISO has to be correctly hex edited too, it only normally awards Celebis to JP saves. You'll either need the EN bonus disc or an ISO of it for Jirachi.

It's a ton of work, but it's damn cool to see the end result. Every Pokemon, all in one save, from multiple different games.

I think you just lost interest in Pokémon, you should try another monster taming feanchise and if you still find it boring, you should just move on to another genre. I don't play Pokémon anymore since Gen 7. I was already upset thanks to the lack of BF in ORAS and no Pokémon Z, but Dexit killed all my interest in Pokémon.
